That’s a wrap

After months of working on the film Top End Wedding, production has officially wrapped.

Unit, props and wardrobes are now all packed away in trucks that sit alongside the camera trucks.

All the cast and crew are heading back to their respective homes and it's feels sad to say goodbye to such a great group of creative, hardworking individuals who have become my second family over this time.

We've travelled to some amazing places and been greeted by so many wonderful people along the way - Tiwi islands, Kakadu and Nitmiluk are stand out locations. And when I think of the "family home" in Darwin, my heart swells with a sense of nostalgia and familiarity.

It felt fitting to complete our final scene on Mindil beach as the sun set - can't get more quintessential Darwin than that.

Seeing everyone's work come to life on screen and sitting alongside Wayne along the way is an experience I will never forget. I will always be incredibly appreciative of this opportunity and everything I've learned along the way.

He's a passionate and talented director and it's been an honour to be his assistant and play a role in making the story come to light.

Now the team moves into post in Sydney and Wayne and editor Chris get to work their magic in the post suite.

This story is special and I can't wait for the world to witness it.
