Celebrating the Territory screen industry

Weave Films' Emma Masters will join a panel of screen practitioners to discuss inbound productions, as part of the Darwin International Film Festival Screen Summit.

The discussion, to be held this Saturday September 15, will cover the vast of issues around inbound productions, from employment opportunities to economic stimulation.

It will explore the many opportunities before an open discussion on strategies to optimise the benefits for our local screen workforce.

Emma will join producers Maggie Miles (High Ground, Paper Planes) and Shannon Swan (Gurrumul) with Screen Producers Australia director Matthew Deaner and Screen Territory director Jennie Hughes.

This year’s DIFF Screen Summit will cover a range of topics that matter most to screen practitioners from Central Australia to the Top End. Hosted by a number of major industry key holders the program focuses on career development, distribution opportunities and much more.

The Capricornia Film Awards, which recognise excellence in the screen industry of Australia’s Northern Territory, will be held on Saturday evening.
