Lane Art Space: Tramp

Lane Art Space: Tramp

Following the successful opening on a new outdoor exhibition area Lane Art Space in Darwin's CBD, "weave" had requests to post the experimental video art piece Emma Masters created for the show.

"The piece is a compilation of photos I took while travelling extensivey last year," Emma explains.

"I was so excited to finally step foot on the street of New York that I couldn't resist capturing my footsteps and shadow as I made my way across Manhattan.

"Then, when I found myself back in Australia and walking along Sydney's Bondi Beach, I just carried the theme through at another iconic location.

"When curator Koulla approached me to create a piece for the exhibition with the themes Gaps and Shadows, I couldn't resist using the photos of my shadow in these places.

"I also love playing on the various meanings of the word tramp."
